I managed to finish this little guy today
even with all the errands I had to run.
I wasn't very happy with the egg shell
though. I have tried in the past to
paint egg shells and wasn't happy
with them either. :0)

Been a little under the weather the last few days but
the sun came out today and the mood was whimsy :0)
Sometimes when I paint, I find myself being way
too fussy over strokes but on this painting, it
just came along with ease and acceptance, so I
went with the flow~hope you like too~~

I almost bought the hot pink peeps at the
store today, but I decided to go with the
more traditional color. They even had the
prettiest blue color....ooohhhhhh so
tempting to just get them all...but that
means I would probably just eat them.

To steel the spotlight is all that this flower
has on it's mind. It is sassy and colorful and
demands attention at all times~~

This apothacary jar was a present from my
hubby some time back. I love filling it
with different items. You just can't go
wrong no matter what you place inside.
I also see a bell jar painting in the
near future maybe even filled with
lemons too~~

My mother-in law bought this for me and I
just love the colors and shape of it.
It reminds me of fiestaware. She has such
a knack for seeking out the perfect
presents...
This painting took me a couple of days to complete. It is a
pretty nice size canvas to begin with, then I painted an
underpainting with the tones, then glazing, the applying
the finishing colors. It was pretty fun to paint, but alot
different than the alla prima approach I am use to~~

In the summertime, these are one of my
favorite flowers to pick. It actually
encourages new growth when you pick
them, so they get thicker and even more
beautiful to look at...

lady who is my cousin by marriage. She is
kind hearted, wise, and beautiful inside and
out...

Bold in it's colors, this was a fun portrait to
paint. Most all of my women I paint have a
seriousness to them. But at the same time,
I can see a hint of mystery behind each one too...

I personally love cupcakes. For some reason,
I am not a big fan of cake but I can hardly
resist a cupcake. I guess it is the size along
with being able to eat it with your fingers.
They always look so appetizing to me...

pallette knife. The texture really adds
to the character of the painting.

Diptych (two canvas) each measuring 20x20 with gallery
stretched sides. They can be hung vertical, horizontal,
side by side, the possibilities are endless.
Lots of texture was added to the design of this painting.
Figurative work on gallery stretched canvas with
mixed media. Gallery stretched means that there
are no staples on the sides of the canvas so it
can be hung as is. The sides are painted black
so it doesn't need a frame, but if you would ever
decide to frame it, that would be fine too...
