Granny Smith apples are one of my favorites~
you just can't hardly mess them up. My husbands
nephew is 14 years old, but he has been
making home-made apple pies for several years
now. I guess the apple doesn't fall far from
the tree, because his dad is a tremendous cook.
When I was little I loved to help my
Mom do things around the house. I would
even go to visit my Grandmother every
Sunday and dust her furniture, and roll
my Grandpa's hair in rollers..He was such
a good sport about it too...

gel is always a blast. I have written vertically
a saying "in the garden, play and love"...it is
mosty obscure but a nice treat when found..

I was practicing reflections on glass with this
still life today. After several times of wiping of
the canvas and starting again, I got a result that
I was happy with. That is just one thing that I love
about the daily paintings, it forces me to reach
out and stretch my artistic abilites with the hopes
of improving as time goes on....
I think if I had to pick one subject that would be
my favorite to paint, it would be figurative works.
I guess I have a fascination with people and their
every day lives.

My dog loves these snacks! She goes to the snack bowl
and will just wiggle her whole body, giving out a yelp,
to let us know she really needs a treat. Our neighbor
comes to see us on most evenings and as he comes in the
back porch he starts calling for Biscut. I think he
probably comes over to see her more so than us. :0)
He pets and talks to her for awhile, then as he is leaving,
he always gives her a few scooby snacks. Needless to say,
that makes her very happy...

I went shopping the other day just for the day
to day items when I saw the valentine candy was
out on display. I picked up a few things, one being
this box of conversation hearts. I evidently
haven't bought a box of these in a while because the
sayings on them now are much different than what
they said when I was a kid. After much consideration,
I decided to go with the old sayings :0)

I have been working on this painting for several days.
It was painted in a very loose expressive style, which
is a style that is very satisfying to work in. It allows
you to paint what you feel with no wrong brush strokes

young lady shopping in a flea market type setting.
I wanted to paint her, but decided to have her
shopping at a flower market since I love flowers~

Maleya is a one of a kind, hand sculpted fairy without
the use of any molds of any kind. She was constructed
from polymers clay. She is a sweet but sneaky little
faerie who is always on the look out for something fun

I love to get together with my family and
friends to play games. This past year I was
introduced to the fun game of dominoes by
my Mother and Father In-law. They both are
very charismatic, engaging people. I am
very blessed to have them as my family.

This painting was inspired by a friend of
mine whom I have known for more than a
decade. It is a very loose and expressive
style of painting that I hope she and
others will enjoy...
I remember when I was a kid and the carnival
would come to town every summer. We couldn't
wait for them to open up each night to ride
the rides and fill up on cotton candy and
candy apples. There were only a few times
out of the year that I could actually go
anywhere without my parents, and the carnival
was one of those times. Don't get me wrong, I
LOVE my parents, but when you are a young teen,
parents seem to cramp one's style. Having my own
teenage son now, I find myself on the other end
of the teeter totter....
This is my very first post on my painting
a day blog and I have to say it is pretty
exciting..This painting was completed today
and will be up for bid later tonight...
