Apples for Sale

Acrylic on stretched canvas 8x10

Granny Smith apples are one of my favorites~
you just can't hardly mess them up. My husbands
nephew is 14 years old, but he has been
making home-made apple pies for several years
now. I guess the apple doesn't fall far from
the tree, because his dad is a tremendous cook.

Moma's Helper

Acrylic 8x10 stretced canvas

When I was little I loved to help my
Mom do things around the house. I would
even go to visit my Grandmother every
Sunday and dust her furniture, and roll
my Grandpa's hair in rollers..He was such
a good sport about it too...

Reflections

Oil on 8x10 canvas panel

I was practicing reflections on glass with this
still life today. After several times of wiping of
the canvas and starting again, I got a result that
I was happy with. That is just one thing that I love
about the daily paintings, it forces me to reach
out and stretch my artistic abilites with the hopes
of improving as time goes on....

Cooking Club

Acrylic Stretched 11x14 canvas

I think if I had to pick one subject that would be
my favorite to paint, it would be figurative works.
I guess I have a fascination with people and their
every day lives.

Scooby Snacks

Acrylic Stretched Canvas 9"x12"

My dog loves these snacks! She goes to the snack bowl
and will just wiggle her whole body, giving out a yelp,
to let us know she really needs a treat. Our neighbor
comes to see us on most evenings and as he comes in the
back porch he starts calling for Biscut. I think he
probably comes over to see her more so than us. :0)
He pets and talks to her for awhile, then as he is leaving,
he always gives her a few scooby snacks. Needless to say,
that makes her very happy...

Conversation Hearts

5" x 7" on canvas panel Oil Painting

I went shopping the other day just for the day
to day items when I saw the valentine candy was
out on display. I picked up a few things, one being
this box of conversation hearts. I evidently
haven't bought a box of these in a while because the
sayings on them now are much different than what
they said when I was a kid. After much consideration,
I decided to go with the old sayings :0)

Candy Apple

10" x 8" stretched canvas

I remember when I was a kid and the carnival
would come to town every summer. We couldn't
wait for them to open up each night to ride
the rides and fill up on cotton candy and
candy apples. There were only a few times
out of the year that I could actually go
anywhere without my parents, and the carnival
was one of those times. Don't get me wrong, I
LOVE my parents, but when you are a young teen,
parents seem to cramp one's style. Having my own
teenage son now, I find myself on the other end
of the teeter totter....

Lemon on Blue

7" x 5" on canvas panel

I made an apple strudel this morning to serve
something special to my mother in law...She and
I painted together for a few hours and just enjoyed
each others company. I had taken the zest off one
side of this little guy, so I thought the least I
could do would be to paint him before it was too late.
The background looks very pretty against the lemon
colors~~Hope you like~

Shot Of Lemon

10" x 8" stretched canvas

This little lemon seemed right at home next
to this shot glass. The shot glass was given
to us by my Mother who owned a little home town
bar and grill in the town I grew up in. I bet if
it could talk we would hear some whoppers.
Hope you enjoy~~
